Indications

Mechanism of Action
- Precise mechanism unknown
- Minimal activity in submaximal stimulation and threshold tests
- Protection against secondary generalized activity from focal seizures induced by certain chemoconvulsants
- Inhibits burst firing without affecting normal neuronal excitability
- Selective prevention of hypersynchronization of epileptiform burst firing and propagation of seizure activity

Administration
