Pharmacology
- Guaifenesin reduces viscosity of sputum
- Levomenthol has local anesthetic properties
- Diphenhydramine possesses antitussive & antihistaminic properties
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 2 teaspoonfuls 4 times a day
- Maximum 8 teaspoonfuls in 24 hours
Interaction
- Potentiates effects of alcohol & CNS depressants
- Potentiates effects of anticholinergics
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the product or its components
- Recent treatment with MAOIs
