Pharmacology

Guaifenesin is an expectorant
Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant
Menthol has local anesthetic and counterirritant qualities

Dosage & Administration

Adult Use Only (12 years and over): 2 teaspoonful syrup (10 ml) every 6 hours
Maximum 8 teaspoonful syrup (40 ml)/day

Not to be taken with prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI)

Overdose Effects

Gastric emptying recommended in severe overdosage cases
Excitement and mental confusion with Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide overdosage
Respiratory depression with very high doses of Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide
Harmful symptoms of menthol in large amounts
