Pharmacology

Dosage & Administration

  • Starting Dose: 30-60 mg/day
  • Target Dose: 60 mg/day

Interaction

  • Metabolized by CYP1A2 and CYP2D6 isozymes
  • Inhibited by fluvoxamine, cimetidine, quinolone antimicrobials, and potent CYP2D6 inhibitors

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to the drug or any inactive ingredients
  • Bipolar depression
  • Substantial alcohol use or evidence of chronic liver disease
  • Controlled narrow-angle glaucoma
