- Long-acting β2-adrenergic agonist
- Once-daily maintenance bronchodilator treatment
- Pharmacological effects on bronchial smooth muscle
- Stimulation of intracellular adenyl cyclase
- Conversion of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to cyclic-3’', 5’-adenosine monophosphate (cyclic monophosphate)
Dosage & Administration
- Oral inhalation only
- Once-daily inhalation
- 75 mcg, 150 mcg, 300 mcg capsule options
- No dosage adjustment for geriatric patients
- Not indicated for use in the pediatric population
