Indications
- Short-term treatment of moderate to severe melasma of the face
- Requires avoidance of sun exposure
- Use of sunscreen with at least SPF 30
Pharmacology
- Contains Fluocinolone Acetonide, Hydroquinone, and Tretinoin as active ingredients
- Mechanism of action is unknown
- Fluocinolone Acetonide is a topical corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties
- Hydroquinone is a depigmenting agent interrupting melanin synthesis
- Tretinoin is a keratolytic agent
Dosage & Administration
- Applied once daily at night
- Applied at least 30 minutes before bedtime
- Should be applied to hyperpigmented areas including surrounding skin
- Use of sunscreen and protective clothing during the day
- Avoidance of sunlight exposure
Interaction
- Avoid use of medicated or abrasive soaps, cleansers, cosmetics with drying effects
- Avoid products with high alcohol concentration, astringents, or keratolytic drugs
- Concomitant use of photosensitizing medications should be avoided
Contraindications
- History of hypersensitivity, allergy, or intolerance to the product or its components

- Potential for severe allergic reactions

- Risk of Cushing's syndrome and hyperglycemia with systemic absorption of corticosteroid
