Indications
- Treatment of postoperative inflammation
- Reduction of ocular pain
- Patients who have undergone cataract extraction
Pharmacology
- Contains Bromfenac
- Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)
- Blocks prostaglandin synthesis
- Inhibits cyclooxygenase 1 and 2
Dosage & Administration
- One drop applied to affected eye(s) once daily
- Start 1 day prior to cataract surgery
- Continue on the day of surgery and through the first 14 days of the postoperative period
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to any ingredients
Side Effects
- Abnormal sensation in eye
- Conjunctival hyperemia
- Eye irritation (including burning/stinging)
- Eye pain
- Eye pruritus
- Eye redness
- Headache
- Iritis
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Pregnancy Category C
- Use during pregnancy if potential benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus
- Caution when administered to a nursing woman
Precautions & Warnings
- May slow or delay healing
- Use with caution in patients with known bleeding tendencies
- Concurrent use with topical steroids may increase potential for healing problems

Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C
- Away from light
- Keep out of reach of children
- Prevent contamination of dropper tip and solution
- Do not touch surrounding areas with dropper tip
- Tightly close bottle when not in use
- Do not use after 4 weeks of first opening
