Indications

• Treatment of Osteoporosis
• Prevention of Osteoporosis
• Increase Bone Mineral Density (BMD)
• Reduce Incidence of Vertebral Fractures

Pharmacology

• Contains Ibandronic Acid
• Inhibits osteoclast-mediated bone resorption
• Affinity for hydroxyapatite
• Reduces bone resorption and turnover
• Includes Coral Calcium and Colecalciferol
• Aids in absorption of Calcium

Dosage & Administration

• One tablet of Ibandronic Acid 150 mg once monthly
• Two tablets of Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU per day
• Instructions for tablet intake
• Not recommended in pediatric patients

Interaction

• Interference with absorption by calcium and multivalent cations
• Interaction with H2 blockers
• Reduced absorption by certain foods and medications

Contraindications

• Abnormalities of the esophagus
• Inability to stand or sit upright for at least 60 minutes
• Hypocalcemia
• Known hypersensitivity to Ibandronic Acid
• Hypersensitivity to any component of Calcium & Vitamin D3 preparation

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Use during pregnancy if benefit justifies potential risk
• Caution during breastfeeding due to potential excretion in human milk

• Hypocalcemia and Mineral Metabolism
• Musculoskeletal Pain
• Jaw Osteonecrosis
• Monitoring of serum Calcium concentration in renal impairment patients

Overdose Effects

• Overdose may result in hypocalcemia, hypophosphatemia, and upper gastrointestinal adverse events
