Dosage & Administration
- One tablet once or twice daily with plenty of water or as directed by the physician
- Effervescent tablet should be dissolved in a glass of water and taken orally with stirring

Interaction
- Thiazide diuretics reduce urinary excretion of calcium
- Systemic corticosteroids reduce calcium absorption
- Simultaneous treatment with ion exchange resins or laxatives may reduce vitamin D absorption
- Calcium carbonate may interfere with the absorption of tetracycline preparations
- Hypercalcaemia may increase the toxicity of cardiac glycosides
- Bisphosphonate or sodium fluoride use should be separated from Calcium tablet intake
- Oxalic acid and phytic acid may inhibit calcium absorption

- Hypercalcemia and hyperparathyroidism
- Hypercalciuria and nephrolithiasis
