Equivalent amount of Aluminium Hydroxide Gel USP
Equivalent amount of Magnesium Hydroxide Paste USP

Pharmacology

Mixture of acid neutralizing substances and antiflatulent
Relief of ulcer by neutralizing gastric acid
Antifoam properties of simethicone
Physiologically inert with no interference in gastric secretion or nutrient absorption

Dosage & Administration

1-2 tablets after meal and at bedtime
1-2 teaspoonful after meal and at bedtime

Interaction

May affect absorption of oral drugs
Decreases bioavailability of theophyline, tetracycline, quinolone antibiotics, etc.
Increases bioavailability of sulphonamides, levodopa, etc.

Contraindications

Patients with renal failure or hypophosphataemia
Severely debilitated patients
Alkalosis and hypermagnesaemia patients
Patients with abdominal distention due to intestinal obstruction

Side Effects

Uncommon gastrointestinal side effects
Possible diarrhea, constipation, or regurgitation with excessive consumption

Pregnancy & Lactation

Avoid in the first trimester of pregnancy
