Pharmacological Action

  • Inhibition of ACE enzyme
  • Decreased plasma angiotensin II levels
  • Decreased vasopressor activity
  • Decreased aldosterone secretion

  • Reduction of stroke, myocardial infarction, and cardiovascular event risks

Dosage Instructions

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to ramipril or ACE inhibitors
  • History of angioedema
  • Concomitant use with sacubitril/valsartan
  • Renal artery stenosis
  • Hypotensive or haemodynamically unstable states
  • Concomitant use with aliskiren-containing medicines or angiotensin II receptor antagonists (AIIRAs) in certain patients
  • During pregnancy
  • During extracorporeal treatments with negatively charged surfaces
