Indications
- Treatment of hypertension
- Treatment of stable coronary heart disease
Pharmacology
- Perindopril is hydrolyzed to perindoprilat which inhibits ACE
- Amlodipine is a calcium antagonist inhibiting calcium ion influx into cells
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended daily dosage of one tablet
- Preferably taken in the morning and before a meal
Interactions
- Potential interaction with baclofen leading to increased antihypertensive effect
- Possible hypotensive effects when combined with nitroglycerine or other vasodilators
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to active ingredients
- Contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation
Side Effects
- Common adverse reactions include oedema, dizziness, headache, dyspepsia, fatigue, etc.
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation
Precautions & Warnings
- Not suitable for patients with hereditary galactose intolerance or lactase deficiency
- Increased serum potassium observed in some patients
