Indications
- Bronchial asthma
- Bronchospasm

Pharmacology
- Novel bronchodilator
- Selective inhibition of phosphodiesterase 4
- Relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle
- Decreased affinities toward adenosine A1 and A2 receptors
- Inhibition of platelet activating factor (PAF)
- Inhibition of leukotriene production
Dosage & Administration
- Elderly dosage: 200 mg tablet two or three times daily
- Adults dosage: 400 mg tablet two or three times daily
- Children dosage: Varies based on age and body weight
- Special release tablet for daily dose of 400 mg
Interaction
- Not to be administered with other xanthine preparations
- Limit consumption of beverages and food containing caffeine
- Caution with ephedrine or other sympathomimetic drugs
- Concurrent administration with certain drugs may affect hepatic clearance

- Hypersensitivity to the drug or other xanthine derivatives
- Acute myocardial infarction
