- Anti-inflammatory action

Dosage & Administration
- Up to 120 mg/day for acute disorders in adults
- Maintenance doses in most conditions are within the range of 3-18 mg/day in adults
- 0.25-1.5 mg/kg/day in children
- Alternate day administration may be appropriate in children
Interaction
- Metabolized in the liver
- Recommended to increase the maintenance dose if liver enzyme inducers are co-administered
- Reduction of maintenance dose if liver enzyme inhibitors are co-administered
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
- Patients receiving live virus immunization
