Description

  • Ventofil is a medication used to treat bronchial asthma, bronchospasm, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pulmonary disease with spastic bronchial component.
  • Doxophylline is the active ingredient in Ventofil, a novel bronchodilator with a unique chemical structure that selectively inhibits phosphodiesterase 4 to relax bronchial smooth muscle.
  • Recommended dosages for Ventofil include 200 mg tablet for elderly patients, 400 mg tablet for adults, and syrup or tablet options for children based on age and weight.
  • Ventofil should not be administered with other xanthine preparations and caution should be exercised when combining with certain drugs like ephedrine or sympathomimetic drugs.

Pharmacology

Interaction
