Indications

Pharmacology
- Contains Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol)
- Calcium necessary for bone formation and maintenance
- Vitamin D3 aids in Calcium absorption and bone formation
- Promotes bone growth and prevents osteoporosis & bone fractures
Dosage & Administration
- Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU Tablet: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily
- Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 400 IU Tablet: 1 tablet twice daily
- Best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption
Interaction
- Possible interaction with antacids containing calcium, aluminium or magnesium
- Interaction with calcitriol & other vitamin D3 supplements
- Interaction with digoxin and certain antibiotics
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in hypercalcaemia
- Contraindicated in hyperthyroidism
- Contraindicated in renal calculi & nephrolithiasis
- Contraindicated in Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
Side Effects
- Nausea

- Dry mouth
- Increased thirst

- Noticed side effects should be reported to physician
Pregnancy & Lactation
