Dosage & Administration

  • Tablet dosage: 1-2 tablets 1-3 hours after meal and at bedtime

  • May affect absorption of oral drugs
  • Increase or decrease in drug bioavailability
  • Possible drug interactions with theophylline, tetracycline, quinolone antibiotics, isoniazid, ketoconazole, ethambutol, antimuscarinic drugs, benzodiazepines, phenothiazines, ranitidine, indomethacin, nitrofurantoin, fluoride, phosphate, propanolol, atenolol, digoxins, vitamins, sulphonamides, levodopa, valproic acid, enteric coated aspirin
