Dosage Range

  • 40000 IU once weekly for 7 weeks for adults for treating deficiency
  • 1400-2000 IU/day for maintenance therapy in adults
  • 20000 IU every 4 weeks for preventing deficiency in adults
  • 20000 IU once a month for specific osteoporosis therapy in adults
  • 20000 IU once every 2 weeks for 6 weeks for children with deficiency
  • 20000 IU every 6 weeks for preventing deficiency in children
  • 1000 IU (1-2 tablets) daily for film-coated tablet in adults
  • 1000 IU to 2000 IU daily for oroflash or chewable tablets in adults
  • 400 IU/day for infants at risk of cholecalciferol deficiency
  • 600 IU/day for children over 1 year at risk of cholecalciferol deficiency
  • 2000 IU/day (+50000 IU/week) for 6 weeks for infants at cholecalciferol deficiency
  • 2000 IU/day for 6 weeks for children (1-18 years) at cholecalciferol deficiency
  • Half ampoule (0.5 ml) to 1 ampoule (1 ml) every 6 months for prevention through injection
  • 1 ampoule (1 ml) every 1 to 6 months for vitamin D deficiency through injection
