Usual Course of Treatment
7 days, may be continued for up to 14 days if required
Recommended Adult Dosage
200-400 mg daily
Recommended Children Dosage
8 mg/kg/day
Renal Impairment Dosage
Adjusted based on creatinine clearance
Interactions
Increases in prothrombin times noted in a few patients, caution with anticoagulant therapy
Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to cephalosporin antibiotics
