Indications

Composition

  • 300 mg Methyl Salicylate BP
  • 100 mg Menthol BP
  • 40 mg Camphor BP
  • Extract of Wintergreen oil (as Methyl salicylate) 122.70 mg
  • Extract of Mentha Piperita (as Menthol) 415.40 mg
  • Extract of Cinnamomum Camphora (as Camphor) 415.40 mg

Pharmacology

  • Camphor causes spasmolytic action on smooth muscle
  • Menthol exerts cooling and soothing effect
  • Methyl Salicylate inhibits cyclooxygenase enzyme
  • Menthol acts as a decongestant
  • Camphor also works as a cough suppressant
  • Wintergreen Oil helps to remove germs and relieve illness

Dosage & Administration

  • Apply generously to the affected area and gently massage
  • Apply to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily
  • Nasal Inhaler Stick: Insert into each nostril and inhale deeply
  • Nasal Inhaler Stick can be used as frequently as needed

Interaction

  • Methyl Salicylate may increase Warfarin action

Contraindications

  • Contraindicated in patients with bleeding disorders
  • Avoid use on broken skin or raw surfaces
  • Hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients in Nasal Inhaler Stick
  • Not recommended for children under 12 years of age

Side Effects

  • Temporary burning, stinging, dryness in the nose, sneezing may occur with Nasal Inhaler Stick

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breastfeeding

Precautions & Warnings

  • For external use only
  • Do not use with a heating pad
  • Keep away from children to avoid accidental poisoning
  • Avoid tight bandages and swallowing
  • Long-term and excess administration may cause skin irritation and redness
