Indications
- topical treatment of impetigo
- treatment of folliculitis
- treatment of furunculosis
Pharmacology
- naturally occurring antibiotic
- active against Staphylococcus aureus
- active against Streptococcus pyogenes
- inhibits bacterial protein synthesis
- bactericidal at concentrations achieved by topical administration
Dosage & Administration
- apply to affected area 3 times daily for up to 10 days
- established safety and effectiveness in the age range of 2 months to 16 years

Contraindications
- contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity reactions to Mupirocin or any components of the preparation

Precautions & Warnings

- avoid contact with eyes when used on face
- not suitable for use with cannulae or at the site of central venous cannulation
- discontinue usage in case of sensitization or severe local irritation
- avoid mixing with other preparations to prevent dilution
