Description
- Floxy is indicated for the treatment of single infection or mixed infections caused by two or more susceptible organisms.
- It has broad spectrum of activity against most gram negative aerobic bacteria including Enterobacteriaceae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

- 100-750 mg twice daily for adults
- 250-500 mg twice daily for urinary tract infections
- Duration of treatment is 5 to 10 days

Mode of Action
- Interferes with the enzyme DNA gyrase needed for the synthesis of bacterial DNA

Interaction
- Should be avoided with magnesium or aluminum containing antacids
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Ciprofloxacin or other quinolones

- Hypersensitivity reactions like skin rash
Pregnancy & Lactation
