Indications

  • Management of moderate to severe acute post-operative pain
  • Relief of pain, inflammation, and light sensitivity after ocular surgery

Description

  • Belongs to the pyrrolo-pyrrole group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID)
  • Chemical name: 5 benzoyle-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrroligine-1-carboxylic acid compound with 2-amino-2-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol
  • Inhibits prostaglandin synthesis
  • Biological activity associated with the S-form
  • Linear pharmacokinetic property
  • Highly protein bound
  • Metabolized in the liver
  • Excretion in the urine

Pharmacology

  • Potent analgesic of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
