Indications
- Topical treatment of impetigo
- Treatment of folliculitis
- Treatment of furunculosis
Pharmacology
- Mupirocin as a naturally occurring antibiotic
- Active against Staphylococcus aureus
- Active against Streptococcus pyogenes
- Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis
- Bactericidal at concentrations achieved by topical administration
Dosage & Administration
- Apply to affected area 3 times daily
- Use established in age range of 2 months to 16 years

Contraindications
- Contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to Mupirocin or any components

Precautions & Warnings
- Not for ophthalmic or intra-nasal use
- Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms
- Avoid eyes when used on the face
- Not suitable in conjunction with cannulae
- Discontinue usage in case of sensitization or severe local irritation
- Risk of dilution when mixed with other preparations
