Indications
- Relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis

Pharmacology
- Non-steroidal drug with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties
- Potent inhibitor of the enzyme cyclooxygenase
- Involvement in the production of prostaglandin
- Rapid and complete absorption after oral administration
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended dose: one 200 mg Aceclofenac tablet daily for adults (Extended release tablet)
- Recommended dose: 100 mg twice daily for adults (Film coated tablet)
Interaction
- May increase plasma concentration of lithium and digoxin when used with Lithium and Digoxin
- May interact with the activity of diuretics when used with Diuretics
- May enhance the activity of anticoagulant when used with Anticoagulants
- May increase the plasma level of methotrexate when used with Methotrexate
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Aceclofenac
- Contraindicated in patients in whom aspirin or NSAIDs precipitate attacks of asthma

Pregnancy & Lactation
- Should be avoided in pregnancy and lactation unless benefits outweigh the risks
Precautions & Warnings
- Caution in patients with active or suspected peptic ulcer or gastro-intestinal bleeding
- Caution in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment
- Caution in patients with cardiac or renal impairment
- Caution in patients suffering from dizziness or urticaria
Use in Special Populations
- No clinical data on the use of Exipain in children
