Indications

Pharmacology
- Second generation cephalosporin antibiotic
- Activity against alpha and beta haemolytic streptococci
- Activity against staphylococci
- Activity against Streptococcus pneumoniae
- Activity against Escherichia coli
- Activity against Klebsiella species
- Has stability against b-lactamase inactivation
Dosage & Administration
- Usual adult dose of 250 mg every 8 hours
- Maximum adult dosage of 4 g/day
- Usual pediatric dose of 20 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 8 hours
- Maximum pediatric dosage of 1 g/day

Interaction
