Composition
- Calcium Carbonate BP equivalent to 600 mg elemental Calcium
- Vitamin D3 BP (as Cholecalciferol) 200 IU
- Magnesium Oxide BP equivalent to 40 mg Magnesium
- Manganese Sulfate Monohydrate BP equivalent to 1.8 mg Manganese
- Cupric Oxide equivalent to 1 mg Copper
- Boron Citrate equivalent to 250 mcg Boron
- Zinc Oxide BP equivalent to 7.5 mg Zinc
Pharmacology
Nutrition is important to prevent osteoporosis. Calcium, Magnesium & Vitamin D3 are essential for bone health. Micronutrients like Copper, Manganese, Zinc & Boron also play a role in bone health.
Dosage & Administration
- Adult: 1 film-coated tablet twice daily
- Children 3-7 years: 1 effervescent tablet daily
- Children 7 years and older: 1 to 2 effervescent tablets daily
Interaction
Various drug and food interactions to be considered. Thiazide diuretics reduce urinary calcium excretion, phenytoin or barbiturates decrease the effect of Vitamin-D3, and more.
Contraindications
Absolute contraindications include hypercalcaemia, bone metastasis, primary hyperparathyroidism, Vitamin-D3 overdosage. Relative contraindications include severe renal failure, immobilisation osteoporosis, renal stones, severe hypercalciuria.

Pregnancy & Lactation

- Careful supervision in mild to moderate renal failure
- Periodic checks of plasma calcium levels and urinary calcium excretion
- Monitoring of serum and urinary calcium levels and kidney function with long-term treatment
