Indications
- Relieves dry (non-productive) cough
- Treatment for pre & post-operative cough sedation

Pharmacology
- Acts directly on the brain's cough center to suppress cough

Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: Butamirate Citrate 50 mg tablet – 2-3 tablets daily
- Adult dosage: Butamirate Citrate syrup – 15 ml 4 times daily
- Children & adolescents dosage: Varies based on age and form of medication
- Pediatric drops available for younger children
Interaction
- Contraindicated with concomitant use of expectorants
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient
