Indications
- Treatment of upper respiratory tract infections
- Treatment of lower respiratory tract infections
- Treatment of urinary tract infections
- Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections
- Susceptible microorganisms (gram-positive)
- Susceptible microorganisms (gram-negative)
Pharmacology
- Broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic
- Active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms
- Inhibition of cross-linking process in cell wall of bacteria
- Formation of cell wall pores leading to bacterial cell lysis
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended dosage for adults with urinary tract infections
- Recommended dosage for adults with respiratory tract infections
- Recommended dosage for adults with skin and soft tissue infections
- Total daily dose for children with otitis media

Interaction
- Increased risk of kidney damage with nephrotoxic drugs
