Indications
- Neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN)

Pharmacology
Pregabalin is a structural derivative of the inhibitory neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). It does not bind directly to GABA receptors but binds with high affinity to the alpha2-delta site in central nervous system tissues.
Dosage
- Adult Dosage for DPN: 50-100 mg three times a day; maximum 300 mg/day
- Adult Dosage for PHN: 75-150 mg two times a day or 50-100 mg three times a day; maximum 300 mg two times a day or 200 mg three times a day
- Adult Dosage for Fibromyalgia: 300-450 mg/day
- Adult Dosage for Spinal Cord Injury: 150-600 mg/day

- Route of Administration: Oral
- Pregabalin CR Tablet Administration: Swallow whole after an evening meal
Drug interaction with medication
Pregaran is unlikely to be involved in significant pharmacokinetic drug interactions.

Hypersensitivity to Pregabalin or any of its components

- Lactation: Small amounts detected in the milk of lactating women, not recommended during treatment
Precautions & Warnings
- Angioedema can occur and may be associated with life threatening respiratory compromise
- Discontinue immediately in case of hypersensitivity reactions
- Increase risk of suicidal thoughts or behavior
- May cause dizziness, somnolence, and impair ability to drive or operate machinery
- Withdraw gradually over a minimum of 1 week
- May cause peripheral edema

- Agitation

- Heart block
