Dosage & Administration
- Oral dosage for adults: 7.5-15 mg daily
- Recommended dose for elderly and debilitated patients: 7.5 mg
- Intravenous administration for endoscopic or cardiovascular procedures: initial dose is approximately 2.5 mg in healthy adults
- Intramuscular administration for adults: 0.07-0.1 mg/kg body weight
- Rectal administration in children for preoperative sedation: 0.35-0.45 mg/kg

- Enhances central sedative effect of various drugs

- Severe respiratory insufficiency
