Indications
- Relief of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis
- Relief of symptoms associated with chronic idiopathic urticaria

Pharmacology
- H1 histamine receptor antagonist
- Stabilizes inactive form of H1 receptor
- No cross of blood-brain barrier
- No significant CNS effects
Dosage & Administration
- Adults and children 12 years and older dosage
- Dosage for children from 6 months to 11 years
- Different dosage in case of impaired renal function
Interaction
- No hepatic biotransformation
- Coadministration with erythromycin or ketoconazole increases plasma level
- No interaction with omeprazole
- Reduction in bioavailability with antacids
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride or any of its ingredients

Use in Special Populations
- Altered pharmacokinetics in individuals with renal impairment
- Moderate to severe hepatic disease does not substantially affect pharmacokinetics
- Altered pharmacokinetics in individuals over 65 years of age

- Dry mouth
- No clinically significant adverse reactions reported with standard doses
- Symptomatic and supportive treatment recommended
- Haemodialysis ineffective in removing Fexofenadine from blood
