Contraindications

Side Effects

  • Transient intestinal cramps
  • Rare extrapyramidal phenomena

  • Rare allergic reactions such as rash and urticaria

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Should only be used during the first trimester of pregnancy if justified by therapeutic benefit
  • Excreted in breast milk of lactating rats
  • Domperidone concentrations in breast milk are 4 times lower than corresponding plasma concentrations

  • Use with caution in children due to increased risk of extra-pyramidal reactions
  • Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment
