Indications
- Temporary relief of non-productive cough
- Temporary relief of runny nose
- Temporary relief of sneezing
- Temporary relief of itching of the nose or throat
- Temporary relief of itchy & watery eyes
- Temporary relief of nasal congestion
Composition
- Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide BP 20 mg
- Phenylephrine Hydrochloride BP 10 mg
- Triprolidine Hydrochloride BP 2.5 mg
Pharmacology
- Antitussive action of Dextromethorphan
- Decongestant action of Phenylephrine
- Antihistamine action of Triprolidine
- Central action on the cough centre in the medulla
Dosage & Administration
- Adults & Children over 12 years: 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) 4 times a day every 4 hours interval
- 6-12 years: 1/2 teaspoonful 4 times a day every 4 hours interval
- Use in children and adolescents: A physician's advice should be obtained before administering this combination to children less than 6 years
Interaction
- Potential interactions with MAO inhibitors
Contraindications
- Avoid in patients with liver disease or asthma
- Contraindicated in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors

Precautions & Warnings

- Consult a physician if symptoms do not improve within one week or accompanied by high fever
