Composition
- 600 mg elemental Calcium in film-coated tablet
- 200 IU Vitamin D3 in film-coated tablet
- 40 mg Magnesium in film-coated tablet
- 1.8 mg Manganese in film-coated tablet
- 1 mg Copper in film-coated tablet
- 250 mcg Boron in film-coated tablet
- 7.5 mg Zinc in film-coated tablet
- 400 IU Vitamin D3 in effervescent tablet
Pharmacology
Nutrition is important for preventing osteoporosis. Calcium, Magnesium & Vitamin D3 are crucial for bone health. Micronutrients like Copper, Manganese, Zinc & Boron play roles in bone health. Deficiency of micronutrients is noticed in osteoporosis patients.
Dosage & Administration
Adult: 1 film-coated tablet twice daily. Children 3-7 years: 1 effervescent tablet daily. 7 years to older: 1 to 2 effervescent tablets daily.
Interaction
Potential interactions with thiazide diuretics, digitalis, phenytoin, barbiturates, glucocorticoids, phenytoin, barbiturates, glucocorticoids, thyroxin, bisphosphonates, sodium fluoride, quinolone or tetracycline antibiotics, and iron.
Contraindications
Absolute contraindications: hypercalcaemia, myeloma, bone metastasis, malignant bone disease, sarcoidosis, primary hyperparathyroidism, Vitamin-D 3 overdosage, severe renal failure. Relative contraindications: prolonged immobilization, renal stones, severe hypercalciuria.

Pregnancy & Lactation
Supplementation should be under the direction of a physician. Overdoses of vitamin-D 3 have shown teratogenic effects. Vitamin-D 3 and its metabolites pass into breast milk.
Precautions & Warnings
Careful supervision for patients with mild to moderate renal failure or mild hypercalciuria. Monitoring of plasma calcium levels and urinary calcium excretion. Monitoring of serum and urinary calcium levels and kidney function with long term treatment.
