Interaction
- Diminishes antihypertensive effect of ACE inhibitors
- Delays absorption with antacids & Sucralfate
- Increases adverse effects with Aspirin
- Reduces natriuretic effect of Diuretics
- Enhances toxicity of Methotrexate
- Increases risk of GI bleeding with Warfarin
- Increases risk of GI bleeding with Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI)
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to Naproxen
- Asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs
- Treatment of perioperative pain in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery
