Pharmacology

Dosage & Administration
- Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU Tablet: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily
- Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 400 IU Tablet: 1 tablet twice daily
- Recommended to be taken with or just after a meal for improved absorption
Interaction
- Possible interaction with calcium, aluminium, or magnesium containing antacids
- Possible interaction with other calcium supplements
- Possible interaction with calcitriol and other vitamin D3 supplements
- Possible interaction with digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline
Contraindications
- Hypercalcaemia
- Hyperthyroidism
- Renal calculi and nephrolithiasis
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
