Dosage and Administration
- Elderly dosage: 200 mg tablet two or three times daily
- Adults dosage: 400 mg tablet two or three times daily
- Dosage for children based on age and body weight
- Special dosage for Doxophylline SR tablet
Interaction
- Avoid administering with other xanthine preparations
- Limit consumption of caffeine-containing beverages and food
- Exercise caution with sympathomimetic drugs
- Possible drug interactions with erythromycin, TAO, lincomycin, clindamycin, allopurinol, cimetidine, influenza vaccine, propanolol, phenytoin, and other anticonvulsants
