Indications
- Treatment of acid reflux symptoms

Mode of Action
- Formation of gel in the stomach
- Formation of carbon dioxide bubbles
- Creation of a raft to prevent acid reflux
- Physical action without systemic absorption
- Lasts for up to 4 hours in the stomach
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 1-2 tablets 3-4 times daily
- Child dosage: varies by age group
- Suspension dosage: 5-10 ml 3-4 times daily
- Use not recommended in children under 2 years
- No dose modifications for elderly and hepatic impairment
- Caution for renal insufficiency with highly restricted salt diet
Interaction
- Consider 2-hour interval with other medicinal products
- Especially with tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, iron salts, thyroid hormones
- Interaction with chloroquine, bisphosphonates, and estramustine
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to sodium alginate and potassium bicarbonate

- Possibility of reduced efficacy in very low gastric acid levels
- Review clinical situation if no improvement after 7 days
