Indications
- Treatment of postoperative inflammation
- Reduction of ocular pain after cataract extraction
Pharmacology
- Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)
- Blocks prostaglandin synthesis
- Inhibits cyclooxygenase 1 and 2
Dosage & Administration
- One drop applied once daily
- Begin 1 day prior to cataract surgery
- Continue through the first 14 days of postoperative period
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredients of the formulation

- Abnormal sensation in eye
- Conjunctival hyperemia
- Eye irritation
- Burning/stinging
- Eye pain
- Eye pruritus
- Eye redness
- Headache
- Iritis

- Caution during nursing
- Use only if benefits justify potential risks
Precautions & Warnings
- May slow or delay healing
- Risk of increased healing problems with concomitant use of topical NSAIDs and corticosteroids
- Use with caution in patients with known bleeding tendencies or receiving medications prolonging bleeding time

- Keep out of reach of children
- Prevent contamination of dropper tip and solution
- Keep dropper tip from touching eyelids, surrounding areas, or other surfaces
- Tightly close the bottle when not in use
- Do not use after 4 weeks of first opening
