Indications
- Asthma
- COPD
Pharmacology
- Contains Fluticasone Propionate and Formoterol Fumarate
- Reduces swelling and inflammation in the lungs
- Helps the airways to stay open
Dosage
- Recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and above: Two inhalations (puffs) twice daily
- Total daily dose can be further increased if asthma remains poorly controlled
- Adults: Fluticasone Propionate 250 mcg & Formoterol Fumarate 10 mcg inhaler- two inhalations (puffs) twice daily
Administration
- Simple steps to use the inhaler effectively
- Clean the inhaler at least once a week
- Instructions for cleaning the inhaler
Interaction
- No formal drug interaction studies have been performed
- Caution needed with co-administration of strong CYP 3A4 inhibitors
Contraindications
- Not to be used to treat acute asthma symptoms
- Not to be used in exercise-induced asthma
- Administration with caution in patients with specific health conditions
Side Effects
- Paradoxical bronchospasm may occur
