Composition

  • Film-coated tablet contains Vitamin B1 (Thiamine Mononitrate) 100 mg
  • Film-coated tablet contains Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) 200 mg
  • Film-coated tablet contains Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) 200 microgram
  • 3 ml ampoule contains Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) 100 mg
  • 3 ml ampoule contains Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) 100 mg
  • 3 ml ampoule contains Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 1000 mcg

Pharmacology

  • Vitamin B1 converts carbohydrates, fatty acids and amino acids into energy
  • Vitamin B1 promotes healthy nerves and strengthens the heart
  • Vitamin B6 forms RBCs and helps cells make proteins
  • Vitamin B6 manufactures neurotransmitters e.g. serotonin
  • Vitamin B6 helps to prevent CVS diseases and stroke
  • Vitamin B6 helps to lift depression and eases insomnia
  • Vitamin B12 is essential for cell replication
  • Vitamin B12 prevents anemia and reduces nerve pain

Dosage & Administration

  • 1-3 Tablets per day or as advised by the physician
  • In severe (acute) cases: 1 injection daily until the acute symptoms subside
  • In mild cases: 1 injection 2-3 times per week

Interaction

  • No reported drug interaction

Contraindications

  • Contraindicated in patients on levodopa therapy
  • Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients

Side Effects

  • Generally well tolerated but allergic reactions may be observed in few cases

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Oral tablet form recommended during pregnancy & lactation
  • Injection not recommended during pregnancy & lactation

Precautions & Warnings

  • Cyanocobalamin not suitable for optic neuropathies associated with raised plasma concentrations

Overdose Effects

  • No expected overdosage symptoms in recommended dosage
