Indications
- Treatment of hypertension

Dosage and Administration
- 5 mg Amlodipine initial oral dose
- 10 mg Amlodipine maximum oral dose
- 2.5 mg Amlodipine dose for elderly or hepatically impaired patients
- 5-10 mg Amlodipine dose for chronic stable or vasospastic angina
- 10 mg Atorvastatin standard starting dose
- 10 to 80 mg Atorvastatin daily dosage range
- Administration with or without food
Drug Interactions
- Myopathy risk with concurrent use of cyclosporine or fibric acid derivatives
- Interaction with antacids, colestipol, and digoxin
- Potential potentiation of other antihypertensive drugs by Amlodipine
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Amlodipine
- Hypersensitivity to any component of Atorvastatin
- Active liver disease or unexplained persistent elevations of serum transaminases
Side Effects
- Possible acute hypotension with Amlodipine use
- Caution with heart failure patients using calcium channel blockers
- Elevation in serum creatine phosphokinase levels with Atorvastatin
Pregnancy and Lactation
- Safety not established in pregnancy
- Not recommended during breastfeeding
Precautions and Warnings
- Caution with peripheral vasodilator use in severe aortic stenosis
- Clinical deterioration caution in heart failure patients
- Biochemical abnormalities of liver function with HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors
Special Population Uses
- No established safety and efficacy in pediatric patients
- Similar efficacy and safety in older patients
