Indications
- Topical treatment of impetigo

Mode of Action
- Naturally occurring antibiotic
- Bactericidal at topical concentrations
- Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis
Pharmacology
- Active against Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes
- Active against gram-negative pathogens like Escherichia coli and Haemophilus influenzae
- No in vitro cross-resistance with other antimicrobial agents
Dosage & Administration
- Apply 3 times daily
- For up to 10 days
- Established safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients aged 2 months to 16 years
