Dosage
- Child under 10 kg: 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) 2 times daily after food
- Child between 10-30 kg: 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) 1-3 times daily after food
- Adults and child over 30 kg: 20 ml (4 teaspoonfuls) 1-3 times daily after food
- Most effective if taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals
Administration
- Dispersible tablet
- Place tablet in a teaspoon
- Add water
- Let tablet dissolve completely
- Give entire spoonful solution
Interaction
- Decreased absorption with tetracycline
- Decreased absorption with quinolone drug
- Contraindication with penicillamine and zinc
