Dosage & Administration

Interaction

  • Increased risk of hyperkalemia with ACE inhibitors or potassium salts
  • Elevated levels of cardiac glycosides
  • Hypokalemia with corticosteroids
  • Reduced or abolished effects when used with indomethacin and other NSAIDs
  • Increased ototoxicity of aminoglycoside antibiotics with Furosemide
  • Reduced natriuretic and anti-hypertensive effects with simultaneous sucralfate and Furosemide administration

  • Anuria
  • Acute renal insufficiency
  • Severe impairment of renal function
  • Hyperkalaemia
  • Addison's disease
  • Hypersensitivity to Spironolactone, Furosemide or sulphonamides
