Indications

Composition
- 0.5% w/v Chlorhexidine Gluconate
- 70% v/v Isopropyl Alcohol BP
Pharmacology
Bactericidal effect resulting from binding of chlorhexidine cation to bacterial cell walls
Dosage & Administration
- Hand Disinfection: Take essential amount (almost 3 ml) and scrub both hands' full surface area until dried
- Instrument Disinfection: Take essential amount (almost 5 ml) in a clean pot and immerse instruments for 2 minutes
- Skin Disinfection: Take essential amount (almost 3 ml) with cotton and scrub it on the skin until dried
- Wound Disinfection: Take essential amount (almost 3 ml) with cotton and scrub it on the wound until dried
Interaction
Incompatible with soaps and anionic agents. Hypochlorite bleaches may cause stains in fabrics previously in contact with chlorhexidine solutions
Contraindications
Not for patients hypersensitive to Chlorhexidine Gluconate or its composition
