Composition
- 0.5% w/v Chlorhexidine Gluconate
- 70% v/v Isopropyl Alcohol
Pharmacology
Bactericidal effect through binding of chlorhexidine cation to bacterial cell walls
Dosage & Administration
- Disinfecting clean hand; contaminated materials: Apply around 3 ml and scrub hands
- Disinfecting surgical instruments: Immerse instruments in around 5 ml for 2 minutes
- Disinfecting skin prior to surgery or other invasive procedures: Apply around 3 ml with cotton and scrub
- Disinfecting wound/wound dressing: Apply around 3 ml with cotton and scrub
Interaction
Incompatible with soaps and anionic agents. May cause stains in fabrics previously in contact with chlorhexidine solutions.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Chlorhexidine Gluconate or any of its composition

Pregnancy & Lactation
Considered safe for pregnant women. Safety during lactation is not known.
Precautions & Warnings
Avoid contact with sensitive tissues, eyes, brain, meninges, and middle ear. Do not inject or use in body cavities.
