Dosage & Administration
- Rinse the area with water
- Apply minimum amount of irrigation
- Wash gently
- Rinse thoroughly
- Apply to wound as necessary
- Discard remaining solution
- Use with care in neonates
- Potential irritation in premature infants
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine
- Hypersensitivity to cetrimide
- Do not use for brain irrigation
- Do not use for meninges irrigation
- Do not use for eye irrigation
- Do not use for perforated eardrum irrigation
Side Effects
- Irritative skin reactions
- Hypersensitivity reactions to chlorhexidine
- Discontinue use if reactions occur
- Prolonging effect on wound healing process by cetrimide
Pregnancy & Lactation

- Poorly absorbed following topical application

Overdose Effects
- Accidental ingestion unlikely to cause systemic effects
- High concentrations may cause gastrointestinal irritation
- Gastric lavage might be needed
- Symptomatic treatment
- Wash out mouth if swallowed
- Drink plenty of milk or water if swallowed
- Seek medical advice if swallowed
- Seek medical attention in case of overdose
- Contact poison control center in case of overdose
