Composition
- 0.5% w/v Chlorhexidine Gluconate
- 70% v/v Isopropyl Alcohol
Pharmacology
- Bactericidal effect through binding to bacterial cell walls
- Bacteriostatic effect at low concentrations
- Membrane disruption at high concentrations
Dosage & Administration
- Disinfect clean hands: take approximately 3 ml and scrub until dried
- Disinfect surgical instruments: take approximately 5 ml and immerse for 2 minutes
- Disinfect skin prior to surgery: take approximately 3 ml and scrub until dried
- Disinfect wound/dressing: take approximately 3 ml and scrub until dried
Interaction
- Incompatible with soaps and anionic agents
- Hypochlorite bleaches may cause brown stains on fabrics

- Hypersensitivity to Chlorhexidine Gluconate or any composition
